We've all seen bad parking once in a while, but not like this. What is a typical day in the life of a grad student really like? Find out in this weekend post.
I'm no expert at parking a car, in fact parking in large parking garages is quite scary in my opinion. Still, the picture to the right gives me relief, at least someone is worse of than I have ever been. Also, I'm not as unlucky as the owner of the car below has been.
As a soon-to-be finished grad student I can really relate to the situation in the image to the right (from Weblogcartoons). No wonder people were smarter around the start of the previous century: I'm sure that if Albert Einstein had access to YouTube and Facebook he would not figure out half of the stuff he did back then.
A professor at NTNU said: “I would never dare drive across a bridge that any of you had designed.” I think that is pretty harsh.
Oh, the irony
Back in 2006 an interesting book came out. It was the author David Lereah who had written the book:
Why the Real Estate Boom Will Not Bust -
And How You Can Profit from It
In the bookDavid Lereah - Why the Real Estate Boom Will Not Bust Lereah concludes that the real estate market would soon stabilize to a healthy market, and continues to advice people to buy more real estate.
Here are some other good quotes from NTNU professorsNabla:
- I will now say something totally wrong, that is also correct.
- We have no chance of proving this since we have no idea what we are talking about. We have no chance of proving it. But here are the highlights of the proof.
- I don't know how you feel about these things. Maybe you're hoping it's soon over... But here's more.- Reidar Svein Sigmond
