It's been two weeks since the new site was released. Has it passed the test, or was it too early ? How many visitors has there been?

I think it has hold up OK. There was some problems the first days, but some patches has taken care of most of it. There has been some minor tuning to both design and code, but nothing mayor. After about a week I started seeing some spam-bot IP's in my log, so I made a spam-filter. It worked well, and the only bots accessing the site now are from Google.

This is quite interesting: a graph showing number of visitors and comments for these two weeks. Both reached a peak around the Olympic medals post, and shortly after I implemented the spam-filter, leading to a decrease in 'visitors' from spam-bots. I also limited the access to search engine crawlers. The number of comments is not high, but I was not expecting much more. It is difficult to get people to comment, but feel free to give it a go!

In the nearest future I intend to release the first update to the site. It features some new functionality, and along with it there will be a new article about the Internet. Till then I will continue to post minor posts when I feel like it.
